Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking a dynamic Medical Director to help lead and direct the flagship hospital of InTown Veterinary Group.  Mass Vet is a 26,000 sq ft emergency and referral hospital located 11 miles north of Boston .  Our client focused culture has helped fuel our outstanding growth over the last 8 years.  The hospital is fast paced and exciting with an emphasis on continually improving medical quality and staff development.  

Our facility boasts a 1.5 Tesla Phillips MRI, GE ProSpeed CT scanner, wireless PC tablets, a plasma screen triage board, wireless telemetry equipment, Eklin DR radiography, a Storz otoscope, two Toshiba Aplio ultrasound machines, Nova critical care analyzer, Stryker arthroscopy equipment, a dedicated ICU with Snyder oxygen chambers, Storz endoscopes, PPN/TPN compounder, a Ferno underwater treadmill and five fully equipped surgery suites.   We will be adding a fluoroscopy suite in early 2009.  

The current staff of the hospital includes 16 specialists, 15 internship trained emergency doctors, and three physical therapists.  Our specialists currently include critical care (2), internal medicine (4), neurology (2), dermatology (1), oncology (1), ophthalmology (1), radiology (2) and surgery (3).  We are actively recruiting a fourth surgeon, third critical care specialist, a second ophthalmologist and a cardiologist.  We have an amazing group of 74 technicians, 28 well trained receptionists and an excellent management team. 

The ideal candidate will be a board certified specialist with a minimum of 5 years of post residency clinical experience.  He or she should have demonstrated leadership ability, strong mentoring and team building skills, excellent communication skills and a foundation of business knowledge.  We are looking for an individual to build upon the strong client and service oriented foundation we have created.  The position will include a balance of clinical time and management time with an exceptional compensation and benefits package.
