How
could I possibly have gotten through my residency training without so many
mentors whom I constantly leaned on? First
along the path were Drs. Diane Hendrix and Dan Ward.
They not only taught me how to live in the South, they pointed me
in the right direction. Next
and most importantly has to be Dr. Ralph Hamor who took the ultimate leap
of faith in making it possible for me to even be in this position.
At the same time, if Dr. Elizabeth Adkins was not pushing me
forward with much more than a gentle nudge, I would have never believed I
even had what it took to apply. To
those two I am forever grateful. Dr.
Paul Gerding played a part especially when it came to business issues.
Last but not least came Drs. Carrie Breaux and Shari Poruba who
answered my never ending questions, put up with my whining, and just plain
listened, making it a reality for me to get to the world of private
practice. Dr. Breaux’s
mentoring and guidance made me feel capable to pass that little
“quiz.” At the end of the
long tunnel, I have accepted a position at Louisville Veterinary Specialty
and Emergency Services in |
