POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL SCIENCES COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY
Title: Residency in Veterinary Ophthalmology
Responsibilities: This a 3 year residency position in veterinary ophthalmology in the Department of Clinical Sciences at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, North Carolina. This residency program is designed to meet requirements for the credentialing process of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) and prepare the resident for the ACVO certifying examination following successful completion of residency training. The candidate will be expected to fulfill residency requirements of the ACVO and Department of Clinical Sciences at NCSU, to participate in clinical and didactic teaching of veterinary students, and provide patient care through the small animal and equine ophthalmology services of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
Qualifications: D.V.M. or equivalent degree, a 1-year internship or 2 years of clinical practice experience, and eligibility for veterinary licensure in the State of North Carolina. A postgraduate degree and experience in basic or clinical research are desirable.
Salary: Starting Salary of $30,000
Date of Employment: July 1, 2008
