10 year old MN chocolate Lab. Mass
first noticed OS by owner 2 weeks ago, comfortable visual
normotensive eye. Mass is pushing the inferior aspect of the lens
posteriorly. Seen again today (photo, with pharmacologic mydriasis)
with 1+ aqueous flare, still comfortable and visual, but slightly
enlarged mass. About to get worked up systemically by LDVM.
Assuming clean bill of systemic health..
would you operate to remove the mass, remove the eye, or something else?
Risks of bleeding? Would the inferomedial location prevent a
reasonable approach? Risks of leaving behind tissue that should be
removed?
